You’re safe here, my precious.
I’ve had this day marked on the calendar in my phone for some time. The day the Wii Fit was to come into my life. I had the alarm set for 7am, as the ad in the paper clearly stated that a minimum of 16 would be available at my local Target at 8am. I rolled out of bed around 9 this morning and gasped. I had overslept! I envisioned the line curling around the building the way it did the day after Thanksgiving. Soccer moms and bratty kids who had taken the day off from school, dads, 20somethings like myself, and most of all, tons of nerds would be in that line. I thought for sure by the time I arrived around 9:15 they would have all been scooped up. I might catch an elbow to the face for the very last one…or give it. When I rounded the corner to the parking lot… I found that it wasn’t particularly crowded. No lines. No shouting. Nothing. I braced myself as I parked and walked inside for the gauntlet. The electronics department in my local Target is all the way in the back. I could see as I came closer, an employee carrying a Wii Fit! I hoped it wasn’t the last one, and I started developing stories that I would tell him if I was to try to finagle it out of his hands. When I finally came to the sacred aisle, there they were. They were stacked 5 or 6 deep and the shelf was full. I’ll be damned. The police officer set there to guard the Wii Fits seemed…dare I say…bored. In a moment of excitement I bought both the Fit and the mat. I don’t know if I need the mat, but there’s no time to decide. I had to get this thing home!
The unboxing of the mat was pretty anti-climatic.

The box. Mm hmm mm hmm so far so good.

Everything seems to be in order here.

That grey bit there is the Velcro strap for holding it together.

Yep, this should do.

Front of the box

Back of the box.

330 lbs…should work juuuust fine.

Herrrre is the official Nintendo sticker used to hold the box closed.
Ok I’m kidding, I don’t have the patience for that kind of detail.

Panasonic batteries? OH BOY

What are these wheely things?

A closer look at those thingies.

Instruction booklet, game, and those batteries.

Crap. Ahh I don’t have to actually do this pose, do I?

Tee hee!

Wheely things revealed!

Here’s the top

Here’s the back…guess those wheely things were extra!
Look, I’d post more but I have some serious exercising to do.
