I’ve had this day marked on the calendar in my phone for some time. The day the Wii Fit was to come into my life. I had the alarm set for 7am, as the ad in the paper clearly stated that a minimum of 16 would be available at my local Target at 8am. I rolled out of bed around 9 this morning and gasped. I had overslept! I envisioned the line curling around the building the way it did the day after Thanksgiving. Soccer moms and bratty kids who had taken the day off from school, dads, 20somethings like myself, and most of all, tons of nerds would be in that line. I thought for sure by the time I arrived around 9:15 they would have all been scooped up. I might catch an elbow to the face for the very last one…or give it.
